R‍yder Cup / Crab Feast - Oct 15th

Its time for the Ryder Cup and Crab feast.  We'll be holding this historic event on  October 15th.  Crabs will follow the golf.  Money will change hands.  Here's how is going to work:

On Thursday night Oct 12th after the MGA plays, there will be a draft for the "rosters".  This part of the draft is not for the pairings or the matches, it is only for the captains to select their complete rosters.   After the rosters are selected, the captains will each build an ordered list of two main pairings and will submit their complete 'lineup'.   The matches will be determined by how the two teams' lineups match up.  And there you have it...

The captains for this weekend Ryder Cup are Ray Jones (Red) and Kevin Shannahan (Blue). Attached are the teams and hole assignments. We will have an 8:30 AM shotgun start, crabs to follow. The two man teams will compete in a front nine foursomes match (Alternate Shot) and then compete in a back nine fourball (Better Ball) match.  The foursome match and the fourball match will each be worth a point. In the foursome match, each team will decide who will tee off on 1,3,5,7 and 9. The partner will tee of on 2,4,6 and 8. The cost has been reduced to $30, $20 for the winning team and $10 clears. Please confirm with the Pro Shop the tees you will be playing. The 2 man team shall play the same tee, please confirm with your partner.

The two man teams will compete in a front nine foursomes match (Alternate Shot) and then compete in a back nine fourball (Better Ball) match.  The  fousome match and the fourball match will each be worth a point.
